PIXUI
Pixiu is one of the most popular "Feng Shui" celestrial
animals beleived in the Chinese culture to attract
wealth & luck either through windfall or direct income
to the owner. Pi Xiu bracelets are now often made in
various materials such as jade, "Liu Li" (special
crystal), gemstones, with 99.99 gold being the most
sought after.
Pi Xiu bracelets are often worn on the left hand with
the belief that vital energy flows into the body from
the left and out from the right.
History
"Pixui" appears to have it's origin in the Han Dynasty
(206 BC - 220 AD) and originally called "Tao ba" in the
Book of Han, an ancient written account of the history
of China.
Interesting note: The Pixiu was featured as a design on
the sword of FA Mulan's character in the 1998 Disney
animated feature Mulan.
